Thor – Adopted 11/2011

From Julia
I recently decided to adopt “Thor,” a kitten rescued by GPG. He’s a joy to have around. He keeps me on my toes, and brings a lot of fun into my life. I originally took him as part of a temporary foster-sitter situation, but it wasn’t long before I realized I didn’t want to give him up. I’d love to save all the stray animals out there myself, but since I can’t, I feel especially thankful that there are organizations like GPG that have the dedication and the means to do it.

Chance (Fritz)- Adopted 3/2011

From Debbie
Chance (formerly Fritz) is a hilarious dog that is full of energy. He is smart and picks up on things really fast. The deafness is only an issue when I’m watching a favorite TV show and he decides to go to a room where I can’t see what he is doing. Not a problem as I purchased a DVR so that I can pause live programming. He is also good for weight loss as I lost 5 pounds the first month I had him due to an increase in walking and l stay limber at age 54 getting up off the couch 100 times a day. I love him 99.9% of the time and, when I’m at the 1%, I think about how much fun he is to be around, how curious he is about everything and the way he makes people smile that we meet when taking walks in the park. Chance also has 4-5 little kids that come in the yard to visit with him. Great socialization for him and me.

Motley – Adopted 3/2010

From Nick and Stacey
Motley is a very playful and gentle pup, even though he’s pushing 90 pounds! He’s a very social dog and does not like to play outside unless we’re out there with him. We live near a lake – and he loves to get into all sorts of trouble down there, like chase geese, eat deer poo, swim, roll in the mud, and dig. We are so lucky to have Motley; we’ve never seen such a well-behaved and docile pup. He never leaves the yard, even if there are squirrels, rabbits, or deer roaming around, and he’s friendly to everyone (as long as he gets a sniff first). He loves to play with other dogs when he gets the chance, and when he barks, he lets out a howl like a little hound dog.
Here are some video links of Motley .

Zoe – Adopted 10/2010

From Beth
Zoey is fitting in great. She and Brownie are best friends and she and the Chihuahua, Tika, have learned to ignore each other. lol
She is an absolutely delightful dog and is always ready to drag Danny out for a walk at 5:30 every morning.
She is a giant cuddle bug and thinks that she is only as big as her head so I will sometimes find her cuddled up on Danny’s lap.

Eli – Adopted 2010

From Katherine
Eli is so good! He just went to the vet on Mon.-and hes a little beefy -71 pounds. We just got back from a run and hes been a great running partner! Here are some pics-I don’t have any of him in the sweater I just got him though. He looks great in plaid. Tweed – Adopted 12/2009

From Courtney
This is Tweed. We adopted her in December of 2009. We just love our little girl and we feel so lucky that we found her! She is a very happy girl who loves to run around in her yard and play with other dogs. She’s still shy around people she doesn’t know, but has come so far in the last year. She has only barked twice during the entire year that we’ve had her and has never so much as growled; she is a total sweetheart. She is so incredibly special and unique, and I thank you for all you did for her so that she could find us!

Fran – Adopted 8/2010

From Melody
Just thought I would share a picture of Fran (renamed Bree ) that we adopted in August. She is a beautiful loving sweet dog. She has fit into our family like she always has been a part of us. Bree couldn’t be more loved than she is!
